Within the Watchmen graphic novel, there is, embedded, another story - that of The Tales of the Black Freighter. The story occurs as panels of a comic book that one of the Watchmen characters is reading. The producers of the Watchmen film have also told that story, in animation. It will be available on DVD at the same time that The Watchmen is playing in theaters. Here's the trailer. It is available from MTV and can be seen in high definition on their site.
