Review: Burger Tex B
Burger Tex is a chain of hamburger restaurants that started in Austin, Texas. I visited the one near NASA, south of Houston. The chain is owned by Korean Americans and the restaurant features a Bulgoki Korean burger. I didn't try that, though. I had the 8oz burger combo.
The burger was a typical choice chuck ground beef burger. The 8oz size gave the sandwich a better proportion of meat to bread than a typical 4oz burger. What really made the burger stand out was the condiments bar. The condiments bar was fully loaded, with fresh sliced tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles, jalapenos, relish, etc. I like my burger with 3-4 slices of tomato - so, being able to customize my burger made it that much more enjoyable.
Service was pretty quick and the prices not bad. The menu can be examined at their website (link above).
