Review: True Blood season 1 A-

Movies based on toys

Disturbing and funny. I wager a major studio will have optioned one of these within a year.

First image of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in Iron Man 2

USAToday has the first glimpse of Mickey Rourke, on set and in character, from Iron Man 2. The scene apparently takes place at the Monaco Grand Prix, so I would anticipate some very expensive cars getting destroyed.

The character doesn't appear to be a direct translation from the comic. Rather it appears to be an amalgamation of two characters: Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo.

Review: Up A+

Up is the latest film from Pixar Animation Studios, the geniuses behind Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. It is an absolutely gorgeous, absolutely brilliant, absolutely (insert any positive adjective) film. Up is directed and written by Pete Doctor (director of Monsters Inc) and Bob Peterson (writer of Finding Nemo). I highly recommend you see it, and if possible, that you see the 3D version of the film.

360 panoramic view of new Enterprise Bridge

The people over at OOOii have a neat Flash 360 degree panoramic view of the Enterprise bridge. Just click on the bridge picture, here, and it should open in a popup. There's an option to go fullscreen.
